Terms & Conditions

Effective September 14, 2026

CurbSide ("the app") is operated by Isaac Perez ("we", "us"). These terms apply as soon as you download or use the app, so please read them before you do. If you do not agree with them, do not use CurbSide.

Using the app

CurbSide is free to use. We may change the app, or start charging for parts of it, at any time — but we will never charge you without making it clear exactly what you are paying for first. The app, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, belong to Isaac Perez. You may not copy or modify the app or any part of it, attempt to extract its source code, translate it, or make derivative versions of it.

You must be at least 13 years old to use CurbSide. Keeping your phone and your access to the app secure is your responsibility, so we recommend you do not jailbreak or root your device, which removes the protections your operating system provides.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account; deletion is immediate and irreversible. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, that posts content we remove under the section below, or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm other people or the service. Where it is practical to do so, we will tell you why.

Reviews, photos, and other content you post

CurbSide carries content that people write: reviews and ratings, vendor listings, menus, and photos. You keep ownership of what you post and you remain responsible for it; by posting it you give us permission to display it in the app and on this site.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not post anything that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit or deliberately misleading, do not impersonate anyone, and do not post reviews of your own business or reviews you were paid to write.

Every vendor and every review carries a “…” menu with Report and Block. Reporting sends the content to us; blocking hides that person or vendor from your app straight away. We review every report we receive, remove content that breaks these terms, and may suspend or remove the account behind it. You can also reach us at curbside@firstunit.io.

For vendors

If you use CurbSide as a vendor, you are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide about your business, products, and services is accurate and up to date. You agree not to post misleading information about your location, hours, or offerings.

If your business appears in CurbSide and you did not create the listing, email us at curbside@firstunit.io and we will correct it, hand it over to you, or take it down.

Location services

CurbSide needs location access and an active internet connection to be useful, because what it does is show you what is near you. We cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality when those are unavailable. What the app collects and stores is described in our Privacy Policy.

Data charges

If you use the app outside of an area with Wi-Fi, the terms of your agreement with your mobile network provider still apply. Your provider may charge you for the cost of data for the duration of the connection while you are using the app.

Updates and availability

At some point we may wish to update the app. CurbSide is currently available on iOS, the system requirements may change, and you will need to install updates if you want to keep using it. We do not promise that we will always update the app, that it will keep working with the version of iOS installed on your device, or that it will remain available at all — we may stop offering it.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

CurbSide is provided “as is”. Vendor listings — hours, locations, menus, prices and photos — come from vendors and from public information, and we do not guarantee that any of them are accurate or current, or that a vendor will be where and when a listing says. Check with the vendor before you travel. We are not a party to anything that happens between you and a vendor: the food, the payment and the service are theirs. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of your use of the app is limited to what you have paid us for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be resolved by contacting us first, it will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we each consent to that venue.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
