Privacy Policy

CurbSide ("the app") is operated by Isaac Perez. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. If you use the app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information we collect

To provide the service, the app collects and stores the following information on CurbSide's backend:

• Account information: phone number (used for authentication), email address, display name, profile photo, and the role you select (buyer or seller).
• Location: your device's approximate location while the app is in use, so we can show nearby vendors. Location is not tracked in the background.
• Vendor / seller data: business name, description, category, hours, photos, menu items, and geographic location of your stand.
• Activity: vendors you favorite, collections you create, reviews and ratings you post, and direction requests you initiate.
• Device & diagnostics: device identifier for push notifications, app version, operating system, coarse IP address, and crash / error logs.

How we use your information

• Provide, operate, and improve the app.
• Authenticate you and secure your account.
• Show relevant vendors near you and deliver push notifications you've opted into.
• Respond to support requests and feedback you submit.
• Detect, prevent, and address abuse or technical problems.

Where your information is stored

Account data, vendor data, and uploaded photos are stored on Supabase, our backend provider. Crash and diagnostic data are processed by our error-reporting provider. We do not sell your personal information.

Publicly visible information

By design, the following content is visible to other users of the app and, when shared via link, to anyone with the link:

• Vendor profiles (name, description, photos, menu, location, hours).
• Reviews and ratings you post about vendors, with your display name and profile photo.
• Your display name and profile photo when other users view your public profile.

Your phone number, email address, and precise location are never shown publicly.

Third-party services

The app relies on the following third-party providers. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data:

• Supabase — backend database, authentication, file storage.
• Google — "Sign in with Google" (optional).
• Apple — "Sign in with Apple" and push notifications.

Your choices & rights

• Access & edit: you can view and update your profile at any time in the app.
• Delete account: you can permanently delete your account and associated data from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
• Location: you can revoke location permission at any time via iOS Settings → CurbSide → Location.
• Push notifications: you can disable notifications in iOS Settings → Notifications → CurbSide.
• Data requests: to request a copy of your data, email iperez2435@gmail.com.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal profile, favorites, collections, reviews, and uploaded images. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained for analytics and service improvement.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS in transit and access-controlled storage at rest. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique phone number / email and to keep your device protected.

Children

CurbSide is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated in-app where appropriate.
